Other tools include objectives and key results and balanced score card. Strategic planning gives direction, increases efficiency, and allows organizations to be proactive rather than reactive. Future planning in the organization can be affected by budgeting, organization culture, goals, leadership, and ineffective communication. When planning, health care organizations need to know the community needs, their health patterns, and projected population growth even as they consider advances in medical technology in alignment with their goals.
